The Arts Society Wimbledon (originally WIDFAS) is a member society of The Arts Society, the new operating name of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (known as NADFAS). An arts-based charity founded in 1968, it now has over 380 local societies with over 90,000 members in the UK and around 2,000 in nine countries overseas. Here in Wimbledon we offer a programme of illustrated talks on a wide range of the arts. All speakers are of a very high standard and are accredited by The Arts Society. Talks last for about one hour followed by questions. In addition we offer visits to places of interest in the UK and an annual tour overseas or in the UK. There are opportunities for members to work as Heritage Volunteers and to engage in Young Arts projects.  Members receive the quarterly Arts Society Review magazine.

New members are very welcome.  The annual subscription is £35 single and £65 double for two people living at the same address.  For enquiries please contact our Membership Secretary Beryl Steeden, by email at, or alternatively please click on the  ‘Joining Us’ link under the 'Our Society' tab above.
